A little bit about me, Murat Koseoglu.
Born and raised between London and Istanbul, I grew up immersed in both Turkish and British culture, a blend that has shaped how I see the world today. Along the way, I spent many years as a professional tour guide in Istanbul, sharing the beauty of Turkey with visitors from all over the World. I also spent over two decades at sea in management roles within the hotel and cruise industry, a career that took me around the globe, until I met my wife and we both decided to settle here in Newburyport, Massachusetts.
My love for hands-on work began early. I learned gardening from my father, whose vegetable and flower gardens in our Turkish village were legendary. From a young age, nothing gave me more satisfaction than figuring out how to fix something myself. That curiosity grew into a passion for home improvement and DIY projects, first in my own home, and eventually for family, friends, and neighbours and so on.
I truly enjoy helping people refine and enhance their spaces, and I'd love to help with whatever your home may need. This is the short version of a long story of my travels and voyages around the world that, hopefully, one day I can share with you personally, face to face.
P.S. One of my many passions is a website I created called My Light Here, a space to remember those who have meant something to you, whether human or animal. Think of it as a virtual cemetery where you can visit and leave flowers for loved ones. I hope you'll take a moment to visit and leave flowers for someone special.
