Basement to outside bulkhead staircase refurbishment
I refurbished the bulkhead door and basement staircase to give it a stronger, cleaner, and more finished look. The old, worn steps were replaced with new fine wood, carefully cut and installed for a solid fit. I sanded and varnished the new treads to enhance the natural grain and provide long-lasting protection against moisture and wear. The surrounding areas were freshly painted in a dark, durable finish to brighten and modernize the space while improving resistance to damp conditions. To ensure added stability and safety, I also secured the base with a sturdy wooden plank, reinforcing the bottom step and creating a firm, level foundation. The result is a safer, more attractive, and durable basement staircase.
